24 Green Kitchens That Will Make You Feel Alive

By Kelsey Kloss, ELLE DECOR

Ranging from olive green to lime green, these kitchens are packed with personality.

Mallard Green

In Steven Gambrel's Chicago apartment, the sink fittings in the butler’s pantry are by Kallista, the counter is in Indigo Green marble, and the antique mirror is from Olde Good Things; the cabinetry was painted in a custom high-gloss lacquer matched to Pantone’s Mallard Green.

Pistachio and Red

In a kitchen from Haver & Skolnick Architects, Shaker-style cabinets in a mellow pistachio tone provide a cool complement to red vaulted walls.

Hunter and Mint

In this Bedford, New York weekend retreat, the kitchen counters and backsplash are a deep green stone, the range is by Wolf, and the two mint pendant lights are by Muuto.

Seaweed Stain

In this farmhouse kitchen by Haver & Skolnick Architects, traditional paneled cabinets are washed with a slightly transparent rich sea green.

Shades of Citron

Girlboss founder Sophia Amoruso opted for citron open-shelving and cabinetry, plus melamine stools in shades of mint, jade, and gray green.

Forest Green

A soft green tile backsplash in this rustic Montana guesthouse kitchen pairs with evergreen arrangements around the windows and exposed beams. The kitchen range and hood are by Thermador, the custom island is of cherry with an oak butcher-block countertop.

Olive Green

In this earthy Greek island home, the kitchen's doors, window frames and custom cabinetry are all splashed with a custom green color that is reflected in accent pieces throughout the home. The kitchen countertops are poured concrete.

Two-Toned Green

In a Malibu beach house belonging to designers Nathan Turner and Eric Hughes, the light green floor (painted in Farrow & Ball's Arsenic) provides just enough contrast to the dark, glossy green cabinetry by SieMatic.

Mint Green

In a dreamy Southampton home designed by Celerie Kemble, the kitchen is styled with an appetizing and refreshing shade of mint green. The kitchen chairs are by Palecek, the vintage tole chandelier is from Etsy and the pot rack is by Urban Archaeology. The floors are oak.

Clover Green

In a colorful, contemporary Houston home designed by J. Randall Powers, the kitchen's lower custom cabinets are painted green in a striƩ effect. The sink fittings are by Rohl, the range is by Wolf and the refrigerator is by Sub-Zero. The stools are by Mecox and the wall tiles are by Walker Zanger.

Leafy Green Wallpaper

In a 19th-century Northern California home, green leaf wallpaper by Pierre Frey brings the freshness of the outdoors inside. The kitchen table and chairs are by Howe and the bench is from Past Perfect.

Juniper Green

Cameron Diaz's Manhattan home, designed by Kelly Wearstler, features a show-stopping green and brass kitchen. The backsplash, counters and sink fittings are all unlacquered brass while then brass-trimmed cabinetry is lacquered in a custom color. The wood floors were treated with an ebony stain and then cerused.

Gauzy Green

For the soft green, wood-paneled breakfast nook of a farmhouse outside Stockholm, fashion designer Sanna Kvist and her husband, interior designer Lars Henriksson, painted vintage chairs red and covered the seats with sheepskin.

Grassy Green

This kitchen in a Manhattan apartment is swathed in Benjamin Moore's Courtyard Green, which covers the cabinets, walls and table. The stove is by BlueStar and the floor is laser-cut linoleum.

Emerald Green Accent

In this Manhattan apartment, a pocket-sized kitchen becomes a jewel box thanks to a stark accent wall in emerald green, and counter-top canisters in a contrasting kelly green hue.

Rustic Green

The quaint green wall in this refurbished summer camp sets of stools by Julian Chichester line the vintage bar, which was bought locally at the Tyler Florence Shop, the sink fittings are by Lefroy Brooks, and the cane chair, found at the Santa Monica flea market, has cushions of Josef Frank linen by Svensket Tenn.

Glazed Green

This wide-open Australian kitchen makes a bold statement with a curving sage green backsplash that climbs from countertop to ceiling. The glossy ceramic tiles were handcrafted in Spain.

Sapling Green

Punctuated by a glossy wooden countertop, a refreshing shade of green lends quiet charm to glass-fronted cabinets, accentuating the glassware and fine china displayed inside.

Lime Green

It may seem like an unusual choice for a kitchen, but the Benjamin Moore's Bright Lime hue used in this cheery kitchen brightens and energizes upon first glance. Red accents pop against the green for a palette evocative of apple trees on a sunny summer day.

Pastel Green

Amanda Seyfried's cozy home in the Catskills, designed by Brooklyn-based firm General Assembly, is full of subtle, gentle color. The kitchen is defined by a geometric green backsplash and pale green cabinetry.

Jade Green Ceramics

An original green farmhouse sink, in the kitchen of a Greenwich village penthouse, is skirted in a Ralph Lauren Home linen. The antique chest was found at a Paris flea market and the sconce is French.

Peridot Green

The delicate, barely-there green makes a quiet statement in an old-fashioned Cape Cod cottage. The shade contrasts beautifully with the deep navy cabinets and antique Wedgewood stove.

Spruce Green

In the Manhattan kitchen of event designer Bronson van Wyck, deep green walls are accented by white trimming and backsplashes. The pot rack is by Urban Archaeology and the pine island is salvaged.
